Transmission & substation EPCA resource becomes valuable
when it can reach demand.

Transmission lines, substations and evacuation infrastructure, considered alongside the generation and industry they connect.

REACH
A network is the relationship between places, power and possibility.
The connection shapes the project

Start at the interface.
Work in both directions.

A promising renewable site and a viable grid connection are parts of the same development decision. The route, connection voltage, substation configuration and commissioning sequence influence land requirements, equipment choices and the project schedule.

Resus brings transmission and substation development together with electrical engineering and EPC planning. The aim is to establish a coherent path from the generation boundary to the receiving network, with responsibilities understood at every interface.

Transmission & electrical infrastructure

Design the route.
Resolve the dependencies.

Development & route assessment

Connection options, route surveys, rights of way, crossings, substation land and access shape the development basis. Statutory approvals and stakeholder requirements need to be visible before a delivery programme is committed.

Substation & system engineering

Single-line diagrams, equipment ratings, layout, earthing, protection, metering, automation and communication define how the installation will function. Studies and design reviews align the proposed plant with the receiving network.

Procurement & construction

Transformers, switchgear, conductors, structures and control systems have different manufacturing and installation dependencies. Package boundaries, inspection plans and civil readiness belong in the same procurement and construction schedule.

Testing & energisation

Protection coordination, interlocks, communication links, metering and equipment tests need a coordinated commissioning plan. Energisation depends on the required approvals, network readiness and a clear operating handover.

Each opportunity defines the agreed EPC or development scope, specialist studies and partner responsibilities. Network approvals remain with the relevant authorities.

A shared operating picture

Generation. Storage.
The network between them.

A solar, wind or battery project changes the electrical duty at its connection point. Export and import requirements, reactive power, fault behaviour, protection and controls therefore need to be assessed together.

For ISTS and TBCB opportunities, we approach development through the specific project requirements, allocation of responsibilities and a credible route to execution. A transmission asset must make sense in its own right and in the wider system it serves.

Our connected approach
Useful questions

Define the connection.
Clarify the commitment.

What is renewable power evacuation?

Evacuation is the electrical route that carries generated power from a plant into the receiving network. Depending on the project, it can include pooling arrangements, transformers, substations, transmission lines and the associated protection, metering and controls.

What information helps assess a transmission or substation opportunity?

Share the location, capacity, proposed voltage, connection point and status of approvals. Available route surveys, land information, single-line diagrams, grid studies and the intended energisation date help identify the next technical and development questions.

How are generation and evacuation schedules aligned?

They need a common view of dependencies: land and permissions, detailed design, equipment lead times, line and substation construction, testing and network availability. The programme should identify who owns each interface and how changes will be assessed.
